Dana's Birth-Day

Dana's due date originally is estimated to be on the 16 Nov 2006 and it's a Thursday... so I took leave 1 month in advance to await the arrival of my little darling.... who knows.... 16 come and go and still no sign of Dana wanting to come into this world. So my gynae set a date for me to induce the birth.

20 Nov 2006

The D-day is here. I couldn't sleep the night before...partly because of nerves...not knowing what is going to happen with the induction and also partly because of the excitment of seeing Dana... finally after 10 months of waiting.

After almost 18 hrs of labour and with the aid of vacuum, Dana has arrived into this world. My gynae placed her onto my stomach the moment she is out and REALLY... the feeling was fantastic. I was so overwhelmed...well to be more exact, I was SOOOO relieved.... after so much pushing I just couldn't wait to have her out.

Dana, Daddy and Mommy were so so so happy to see you :)

17 Nov 2007 - Dana's 1 YO birthday

Well, we actually celebrated 3 days earlier as her birth day is on 20th and it's a weekday. We rented Changi Cottage @ Aloha and ordered a BBQ buffet.


The weather wasn't very good on that day and we were pretty worried that it may rain... luckily, there's no rain and it was pretty cool as well.





By the time we checked into the chalet, it was already 4pm, so we quickly started to decorate the place and thanks to my sisters and sister-in-law, we managed to get the place nicely decorated before the arrival of our guest.




While we were busy blowing and tying the balloons, little Dana had her nap and was getting dressed up for her birthday party!

My little darling has turn 1!

Times ready flies.... the same time 1 year ago, Qin aka Dana is only 2.5 weeks old and just recovered from fever, pnuemonia and jaundice... this pic was taken on the day that Qin was discharged from KKH. She looked so frail and tiny then... Today she is already 1 yr and 16 days old! Oh gosh.... How fast!!

Just celebrated Qin very first birthday on 17 Nov 07 at Changi Cottage @ Aloha. Had tons of nice food and the birthday cake was fantastic, which I ordered from Secret Recipe :) (One of my fav cake shop) heehee... even Qin also can't wait to eat it.


See how happy and proud daddy is... Anyway, the party was a success and has left many fond memories for us and Qin. Pls keep a lookout for more pics and snapshots of the party :-P

This is one of my fav pic... the same one that I used for Qin's birthday cake. She's such an active and adorable girl... very energetic and naughty... this is a girl who has a mind of her own and very stubborn... like her daddy and mommy... hahaha...
